What is WanderingBrits?
WanderingBrits is an online community allowing Brits and other fellow Wanderers to feel connected as they travel the world. WanderingBrits offers British food box subscriptions as WanderSnacks and free access to articles and resources in our WanderBible to help Wanderers feel more at home in their new lives abroad.
Can I add my story to the WanderBible?
Yes. The WanderBible is a free resource written by Wanderers, for Wanderers; telling your story can be a great way to help with reverse culture shock, or just to try your hand at writing. All the stories and articles are written by real people with no writing experience required. You can even include links to your own blog or website. If you would like to submit a story or article, please email it with any pictures you want to include to email@example.com. We will check the preview with you before adding it to the site.
Can I get involved if I am not British?
Yes. We will never discriminate and we are open to all people of all nationalities. While we are aimed at Brits living abroad, we welcome anybody who is interested in joining our community. Your feedback will also be highly valued on the Contact Us page.
What is WanderSnacks?
WanderSnacks is one of the services offered by WanderingBrits which is a subscription box that delivers a different selection of British treats to your door once a month. You can find out more on our WanderSnacks page.
How do I cancel my WanderSnacks subscription?
If you would like to cancel your subscription please email firstname.lastname@example.org and clearly state "I would like to cancel my subscription" .
You can cancel at any time at no cost. No future payments will be made once you cancel your subscription. If you have already paid for the latest WanderSnacks box at the time of cancellation then you will still receive this box.
How do I order multiple subscriptions?
As a safety measure we have built in a one subscription only option per transaction to stop people accidentally ordering more than one subscription.
To order more than one box a month e.g. one for you and one for your partner, then you can put through two separate transactions e.g. order one subscription, make payment, order the second subscription, make payment. If run into any problems, we will be happy to help on email@example.com
When will my WanderSnacks arrive?
WanderSnacks boxes are dispatched around the 15th of each month so should arrive by the 25th of each month.
If you have missed the cut off then your first box will arrive on the 25th of the following month. e.g. if you order on the 6th of July, you have missed the cut off for the July box so you will receive the August box around the 25th of August.
The cut off is the 1st day of the month to receive a box in the current month.
What WanderSnacks discounts do you offer?
We will regularly offer discounts to our Wanderers who sign up to our mailing list and to those who follow us on social media.
If you are part of an expat Group or Club, we offer Group discount codes, simply submit a request on our Contact Us page and tell us a bit about your Group (please include links to your page if possible) and we will get back to you.
Do you work with sponsors or allow advertising?
We take pride in protecting our members from spam emails and aggravating advertisements. However, if your product or service is relevant to our members and you are working on behalf of a reputable organisation (including small businesses) which shares our high ethical values, we would be happy to hear from you and consider your request. Are you an ethical business?
Our responsibility to society is taken seriously and we are always open to suggestions on how we can improve.
People - We support WanderingBrits to build new lives in new places as they build the cultural awareness and understanding that we need in our world. We are able to provide a platform for aspiring writers and help young people to gain skills to help with future employability. On a daily basis we strive to act with integrity and operate in an honest way, listening to feedback from our community and working with smaller businesses where possible.
Planet - We acknowledge that our operations require the use of technology, packaging and freight. We opted for paper and cardboard packaging, rather than plastic as it is widely recycled. We advise our customers to reuse our high quality packaging rather than discarding it and we are looking into donating some of our profits towards the protection of forestry in the UK.
Profit - Our online resources will always be available free of charge. We make a small but fair profit on the sale of our WanderSnacks boxes to sustain our operations and we reinvest funds to improve the way we operate.
